HELLO FS BUDDIES!!! ;)
i have actually written two journal entries and have accidentally deleted them before they were saved... so this one is coming to you after a few hours of letting go of the frustration! :) this week has been a whirlwind. in a good way! the hubbs and i ran our first 5k race on saturday morning. it was a great experience. i finished with a time of 31:21.. not too awesome, but not too shabby either. just about 10m miles the whole way. hubby, of course, smoked me with a time of 26 minutes or something. and he doesn't even train ... go figure! :) also, ran 5 miles for the first time in 3 years today. FEELING MOTIVATED! i've been focusing a lot at home on preparing lots of fresh veggie dishes with fish, chicken, or turkey. it is going really well. i actually look forward to the challenge of creating something super healthy and super delicious. also everytime i'm cooking at home i feel great about all the money we're saving by NOT eating out!!! speaking of eating out, for mom's day (HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY ALL YOU FS MOMMIES!) we went to olive garden after church. i tried to be prepared and look up some point values before leaving this morning (so i knew about the breadsticks) but WHAT THE CRAP it's hard to find info on a lot of the entrees. i ended up ordering the parmesan-crusted tilapia with steamed veggies... and i think i really jacked up my points with the parmesan cheese. there was a flipping TON of it on there. oh well. it was a fabulous day, i can't complain. it's always so cute when "the kids" get me a card... you know with all their hard earned cash, hahaha. daddys are really the key to a mother's day surprise when your kids are little. and my hubbs delivered. :) gave myself a mani/pedi all afternoon while everyone napped, and apparently i used too many layers of polish b/c now it's a goopy mess. that added to my journal-deletion frustration but i'm refusing to dwell on it. tomorrow is another day, and who needs perfect nails when you're getting thinner! :) excited for weigh-in.... this week feels like a winner.
