Living in a hotel right now. My apt. got flooded by a 3rd story water heater exploding. It ran into my room, destroyed my bed... sooooo, I'm in a hotel for about a month. I have a mini fridge and a microwave, free breakfast and wifi, a hot tub, and a mini gym. And I am SO sick of eating out. I don't have much choice here though which I find frustrating. Any thoughts on better food for me to eat during the day? Most microwave stuff I know is loaded with fat/salt.

Wow - that sounds like a bummer overall. Can you go to a friends to cook up some decent food, store in the mini fridge and then microwave it for your dinners? Yes, most packaged microwave crap can be low calorie but have tons of other stuff in it... I suppose more fruits and vegetables, too. Hope you had insurance on your stuff...hang in there!

So sorry about your situation. How about some fresh vegetables and some of the pre-cooked chicken. Maybe even one of those roasted chickens. You can even cook eggs in the microwave. This experience might make you a microwave gourmet!

Very sorry about your situation and hoping that you will be able to find permanent living quarters soon. Like Nobar, roasted chicken and box or two of frozen veggies can be microwaved. Just do the best you can.

Ziploc steamer bags work great in the microwave for freshly steamed veggies and a few meats.
