Entered one of my recipies, hope it is enjoyed by some. Cooking is my passion, and I love that this lifestyle really requires me to cook my own food. The "fam" doesn't seem to mind either. While my wife hates all things fish, my six year old son is a fish / seafood junkie, so where I did not previously cook a lot of fish, we are grilling it 2 or three times a week now! Thanks son! Recipes will follow. I have tried some from the other cooks on this sight, and I must say....some awesome, healthy meals abound here!

I am not much of a cook, that is why NS is easy for me. When you cook for yourself are you just estimating your calories? Eventually I'd like to get off NS and reduce my expenses, a tip would be good to keep counting calories close.

Can't wait to check out your recipe for a taste test! My boyfriend loves cooking too, he has really adjusted to being a lot more conscious of what I can and cannot have...what a good man!

Windrider, It takes some weighing and label reading, and sometimes I do have to estimate...but I am close. The site is pretty damn chock full of nutritional info. I actually try to fudge UPWARDS to be safe. But if I use, say, egg beaters and shressed cheese in a recipe, Ill take the info from the package and use it for the recipe. Like everything else we do it takes some getting used to. For most things though, fat secret will have the nutritional info for each ingedient, and as you enter them according to your measurements (serving sizes can be adjusted) it breaks it down for the whole recipe. I did not know that at first and I shied away from entering recipies. Now its a breeze
