JenChuks's Journal, 01 May 2009

All week I've been working out and burning approximately 600 calories a day at the gym. Which is good but I still need to focus on maintaining my diet. I'm trying to stay under 800 calories but it's proved to be virtually impossible. I hope I haven't reached my plateau, but we'll see! :)

Diet Calendar Entry for 01 May 2009:
700 kcal Fat: 37.00g | Prot: 47.10g | Carb: 23.54g.   Lunch: Grilled Chicken Caesar Salad. Dinner: Boneless Wings. Snacks/Other: Riesling Wine. more...

Under 800 calories, especially if you're burning 600 a day, isn't healthy darlin'. Maybe you could focus on having an 800 cal/day deficit instead? That's much healthier. Make sure you're getting your vitamins too! PS. If you have an ED, keep your head up...it'll get better.

Yea, you are going to slow your metabolism to the point where you end up gaining instead of losing. Don't go under 1000, 1200 is better (for your nutritional purposes). Your muscles will also get depleted, and it you won't be able to workout without being exhausted. You have to think of your metabolism like an engine, if you don't fuel it and take care of it, it's going to stop working. Get in lots of fruits, veggies, lean dairy and protein. Dairy is said to help us lose fat quicker. Good luck and take care of your self.

Thanks for your help guys. I'll focus on eating more fruits and vegetables to get closer to 1200 calories. Thanks!
