Ugh. I'm so disappointed in myself but today is a new day.

I walked 3+ miles yesterday in the heat and then ate 2 pieces of cake and 2 WW ice creams last night.

Why can't I stop these pig out moments? The whole time I'm eating I'm like miserable. I can't stop putting the shit in my mouth. WTH is going on in my head?

Stay motivated and stay with it. There's still the positive side...you got your exercise in. You could have not exercised at all and ate the bad foods. So you gotta stay with your plan even when you have bad moments. But check this out: Food temptation is gonna be there regardless! So you gotta look at it like "Yea, I could eat this cake, ice cream, etc., but I rather eat this healthy food and feel better about myself afterwards." Eveyone is going to eat bad foods but you want to do it as least as possible. So don't beat yourself up over the bad foods pretty lady. Life already has a ton of frustrations in itself to have to worry about some friggin food. So just eating that cake & ice cream won't make you unhealthy, just like eating one healthy meal won't make you healthy. It's what you do over the course of time that matters. The more bad foods you eat, the more unhealthy you get, and vice versa. Whenever you eat bad foods, shake it off and make your next meals healthy. That's what I do. You can do this buddy!

I 100% agree with Pking. There is no reason to beat yourself up over the bad foods you ate last night. Here's my question though, where did the cake come from? If you have more left, maybe give it to your family or friends? My family and I do that a lot after family parties and get togethers, because we're all trying to be healthier. If we keep it in the house, it'll get eaten! But seriously, you're doing a fabulous job and we all have bad moments/days. And you're right, today is a new day! :)

One thing that might help is to track your moods and thoughts around the times you feel like breaking your diet. Positive self-talk can be helpful, but insight into the motivation behind the eating might benefit you more in the long run as it is easier to work with such things if you know what they are to begin with. Its very easy to give yourself restrictions in the sense of "I should do this" and "I should do that" but often times these judgment laden statements (anytime you say "should" you imply judgment) they are usually followed by negative self-judgment if you are unable to do the "should." Many people will think of themselves as weak, stupid, bad, etc. when they fail to do what they "should" instead of viewing it more realistically and say "I made a mistake and I will learn from this mistake" and move on...without damaging the self-esteem. I could really go on for hours about this, but the main point is not to beat yourself up about this and just look at it objectively and find areas of improvement instead of focusing on "failing." The only way we fail something is if we never try to begin with...and at least you are trying. You are half way to your goal! You look amazing. So don't be too hard on yourself!
