No big plans for today, I am going to go to the gym and hopefully the pool. It has been raining and storming all night so I hope it over and done with so the pool will open. I had set my quit date to May 17th., but I started thinking this weekend that may not be a good move. Michael gets out of school May 19th. I do not want to be on edge when he is home and with his ADHD it may not mix well. He is very sensitive and reacts with anger when his feelings get hurt so we definitely clash, because I do the same thing.
So I decided Friday May 1st will be my quit date.
I have been dropping down mg of tar and nicotine every week and this week I will drop down to Ultra Lights so Friday seemed fitting since I can't drop down any further. I will take the money that we normally spend on cigarettes and split it in half since I don't think John is quitting just yet and put that in savings. I will buy his cigarettes with the other half and he will have to keep them in his work truck. I am going ahead and throwing out our ashtrays in the garage and cleaning that out and letting it air out, so he will have to go all the way outside. I have noticed for a while though that the smell of cigarette smoke has been bothering me. We have a puppy so he has gotten a lot of blame, poor guy. From a distance it smells like poop to me so I normally start blaming him before I get to the doorway and realize no accident, just smoke.
I am thinking of having a fruit yogurt smoothie for breakfast. Breakfast is the hardest meal for me to get in and Supper is the hardest meal for me to moderate.

My body just hurts today, my stomach muscles feel like I worked out hard but I haven't in a couple of days, and hips hurt. I was wondering if it was from the seven hours of walking we did Saturday. I don't normally hurt after a day like that though. Well this is much longer than I had planned but I had a lot on my mind this morning with quitting smoking and all. I hope everyone has a wonderful Monday to start off another Weight Loss Week!

I didn't make it to the gym today, I ended up going to the firemen's wives meeting.

Congrats on your way to being a non-smoker again, and for taking a stand and kicking your husband out way far for when he does smoke. It is not easy but this should also assist in your weight loss! kinda like killing two birds with one stone.

Thank you so much for your kind words of encouragement. I am sure this time next week I will definitely be re-reading this. I am going to work on more exercise to get me through the cravings. I am planning on taking two jogs around the block and a walk around the block on top of my regular exercise routine. I normally sit on the front porch and have my first cigarette of the day after my son gets on the school bus. I figured that would be a great time for a morning jog. After lunch Chelsea will be awake enough to ride her bike around the block while I jog again, and after dinner we can take a quick walk as a family. I am hoping it will help me with keeping the food intake down and the exercise up and kick those cravings.
