RubyRedSox's Journal, 19 March 2011

I'm a little rattled after a phone call early this morning. Close call for my daughter. She's 34 and pregnant with her 1st. As most know she has health issues; lupus, pcos, fibro, asthma etc. Anyway she'in the middle moving and late last night her fiancee rushed her to the E.R. as she was losing blood. Turned out she had a tear from lifting boxes.

The good news is she is fine and so is baby. She got to see the ultrasound and saw the hands of her baby. She's 13 weeks and due Sept 22nd, a week before my birthday. She also has orders for no lifting boxes! She has been suffering through some terrible vomiting though these last weeks, even in the middle of the night. She works long hours with a long commute as nanny so she's pretty exhausted with all this. I'm sure they'll come a point where she won't be able to work anymore. Please keep her in your thoughts, thank you:)

Oh yes Paula, this is my 1st grand. Though my oldest son had 2 many years ago this is the only one I'll get to see. So I am excited and worried. Thank you and much love back!

Ruby, I will be saying some prayers for her and for you, Grandma! She will do just fine. I had a similar experience when I was pregnant with my youngest...twice...once in the first trimester and once in the second. They never did figure out what caused it, but it caused no damage. Perhaps it had something to do with the Lupus, but at that point we didn't even know I had it yet. Until you mentioned that she had this episode, I never even connected the two. And I did a lot of lifting if Jessica, and she weighed about 35 pounds. Hmmm, interesting. Try not to worry, Grandma, all will be fine. I will continue to pray. Love ya, my dear friend! xoxoxoxoxoxo<3<3<3<3<3
