I have to admit I feel like giving up. I think I am withdrawing from all the carbs I used to eat. I am craving things I never craved before. Like sweets, I never liked sweets much but boy now I want a donut! I'm not GOING to give up, I just want to. Normally I would be like...okay I'll have one cheat item just to stop the craving but I am on induction and can't do that. After induction I am going to have a cheat item. I know some people say that is bad but for me and in my past experience it doesn't hurt and I go right back on the diet like it was nothing. Really though, I'm going nuts!

Are you actually putting everything you are eating in? Because if it is you are starving, not just wanting carbs or sweets. Plus, having 2 Atkins shakes or bars a day can cause cravings. I would highly suggest you go to the Atkins site and do the "Learn Atkins" lessons. You are not getting enough calories, veggies, Net Carbs, fat, or protein. What you have entered isn't Atkins at all.

Yeah I have been talking about that with my mom. She is on a similar diet. The only thing is is that I am in a wheelchair (not parapalygic so i can't work out my upper body) and I get very little movement in a day. So i don't eat that many calories because I burn so few. But I know you are right about eating better foods and I'll try to lay off the shakes. It's just hard with school to eat healthy.

If you don't have the Atkins book, you need to get it & read it. If you follow a low-carb plan correctly you will never be hungry & you won't have those terrible cravings. Yes, it's hard to eat healthy at first. But it's harder to keep being overweight. Since you're here I assume you've chosen to get healthy, so make more of an effort to follow the plan to give it a chance to work.
