Jada Petsch's Journal, 16 March 2011

Weighed in a littler earlier than is my norm. lol. So 2lbs up, not worried about it. Salt intake was around 3000 yesterday, probably a little higher considering the marinade for the salmon had soysauce in it. XD But in my defense after dinner I did have 6 cups of green tea, and 2 cups before dinner.

So I tore my calf muscle and I know no more jogging/running at all on it til it's healed or I could seriously injure myself. >.< So going to try and walk 2-4 miles as many days a week as possible and follow that up with strength training at home, and some of my workout videos but I'll either modify some of the moves to not put stress on my calf, or just not do the parts that will make it hurt.

During my walk this morning, I just had the overwhelming urge to jog. And was rather annoyed and kinda sad that I couldn't. I never thought I would get to to the point where I Like to jog and enjoy pushing myself to go further or a bit faster. I would really love to be able to jog a mile straight by the end of the year. And to be in the annual 5k seafood festival run in November.

Yeah...another buddy watching the sodium. It is so important. For all those who think they don't have to worry about it because they don't have high blood pressure.....yeah that is what I said before I hit 50 too. Now I am on meds for it....Jada, I am glad you are being proactive and taking the preventative measures!

I do worry about my sodium intake. But I also know that you can easily flush it out of your system by drinking as much fluid as my Mom and I do. I try to be around 2500ish per day, but some times it's a bit high. Today it's about right. Though I'm not sure what else we're having for dinner besides pork chops. lol.
