jmb3450's Journal, 19 July 2014

Good news is back to 234lbs as of this morning which is my lowest weight since I started here. I'll hold off recording weight though until "official" weigh in on Friday, should be lower then. Now to keep on track from here on out, the next bumps on the horizon are a wedding rehearsal dinner and wedding next Friday/Saturday. The rehearsal dinner is steamed blue crabs so that is a MUST DO, just can't pass that up. I'm playing about 40 minutes worth of music pre and post ceremony so I'll also be working on putting that together this week.

My wife is doing a little better with pain, right she's out watching me take out a couple of large bushes on the corner of the house, in a little bit I'm going to set up a stool for her to sit on and dead-head flowers in the garden. She'd talked about wanting to go get some yard decorations but she's not up to that yet, besides she's not supposed to do that since she's on a home bound care program through next week. At least taking the bushes out is decent exercise, that's been hard to come by lately. Got them cut down, going to load branches in the truck then work on digging out the stumps. Looks like it might rain, hopefully it'll hold off. Hope everyone has a nice weekend.

So do you mean that you have lost 134 pounds or that you weigh 234? Hugs for your wife and handshakes for you, my friend. You have such a full life with lots of important events and happenings. Great job at keeping that steady pace while planning and working. Keep the faith!

i also tell my husband my weight and usually start with a 1. like i'm sure i'm 154, not 254. good news for you! wedding food isn't usually very good, so you should have no problem with that. i say go for the steamed blue crabs! you will enjoy them. glad your wife is feeling better. good luck to you!!

234 is a fine starting point. Here we go. You start at 234 & I will start at 168. My apologies is my question came across as criticism.

Oops...I might have weighed 134 in 6th grade or something. Funny, I noticed I typed a 1 instead of a 2 when I made the entry, thought I'd fixed it...now it's fixed. I think my wife overdid being up and around, pain is back pretty strong. But she really is doing well with recovery, both the nurse and therapist have told her her mobility and range of movement are phenomenal for this short a period of time. She just needs to believe it herself.

Teacher, no apology needed, I sure didn't take it as being criticism. :) I just thought it funny because I saw the typo when I did it and thought I'd fixed it before I posted.

I am glad your wife is doing better and Congrats on your new low!! Blue crabs is a feast (even if its just one)!! Love 'em! I would never pass it up, besides it is low calorie unless you dip the meat in melted butter.

Kattay, no butter. I was going to say definitely a beer but then remembered I joined the no sugar challenge that starts tomorrow and beer is not allowed. Crabs without beer, that might be a first for me. Seems almost un-patriotic or something.

YAY 4 U! Glad your wife is doing better too. You sound like my sweet Hubby, prepping things so I can do some yard work. He is even making a pathway down to our pond, so hopefully I can get down there & at least put my feet into that clear, cold water. He helps me weed my raised herb beds, which he made for me. I'm always glad to hear of other men who love & treat their wives well, even when we get older & less able to do things. Congrats on your weight loss, & keep it up! Skinny Wishes, Glammer
