so today is my first day starting the induction phase again.. my plan is to keep at this and stay away from all the temptations till i get down to about 140( man i have a long way to go).. i do have a couple questions though.. can i have a sparkling water, fresca, atkins bars, and shakes and sugar free jello.. i cut out all the low carb pita bread and tortilla, and all the splenda.. i just want to make sure i'm on the right path.. I'm still scared though, that once i do loose all the weight that i will return to my bad ways..

The best thing I can tell you on the induction diet is to journal everything you eat every day. You can have as much sugar free jello, it's carb free. Get ya a can of sugar free heavy whipping cream from the store and squirt some on top. It will be a great help when your craving sweets. I used the shakes and the bars on my diet. Just count your carbs and stay at 20 carbs per day for the first two weeks. Then add 5 carbs on your third week. If you see that you added too many and didnt loose, back off 5 carbs. If you stay strict on the diet for at least three weeks you will find that your cravings will go away and when you do use splenda in your tea or whatever, you wont use as many packets to make it taste sweet. You will only need one or two, instead of many to make something taste sweet. Remember when you use the splenda, you count one carb per packet. If you journal what your eating and count those carbs..... you will find that you will do much better and the weight will start comming off. But remember if you cheat.... you mess yourself up and have to start again. Read the atkins book and get on their website and take some classes. This will help you too. Good luck girl! You can do it!!!

Baby step. Just set yourself realistic expectations yet be positive. Take a look at my posting. You are still better off than your were before. You have lost...weight that is. You said it yourself, you are not done yet. Lots of greens, fiber, detox tea, supplemention, water, sex. Ooops! That one slipped. Hey, it is fun and burns a whopping 3hundred something calories. There are loopholes in this diet. All good ones though. Keep busy. Journal. Smile. Congrats on your engagement and little boy. I weighed 185 after my son and weighed 100 before i got pregnant. I have been up and down. He is six now. I find this site to be very helpful. Lots of like-minded motivated people all supporting each other. No site like it. You can do it! Keep in touch -Heather

Hi Joanne, lots of good advice above. I didn't know about counting splenda. I've been having 15 a day! Think i'll cut back (a lot!).I know i've probably said it before, but i can really recommend keeping a journal. You have done well so far. I know it's hard to get those positive feeling back, i'm struggling myself, but they will come back! We're all here for you! : )
