went over my rdi again...damn it! i need more will power and self control. any suggestions?

Find something to motivate yourself. Buy a pair of pants, shorts, or a t-shirt a size or couple sizes smaller; work to fit into it soon. Try it on everyday or so.

You might try having a more filling breakfast and lunch and see if it helps you eat less in the evening. There are 2 reasons for overeating: physical and mental. The physical reason is that you let yourself get very hungry and your body sends the signals to eat, eat, eat! The mental reasons are more complicated. I think it is usually a combination. The physical reason is very easy to take care of by eating enough sooner in the day. You might find that this alone gives you the little extra will power you need to stop eating when you intend to. Or you might find you have other reasons for eating over the amount you intend.

yeah it may be a mix of both. i think its more mental than anything. Just going through a lot. how do you get passed that?

It's hard. I think a lot of people use food to try to cure or forget about other issues. The problem is, it doesn't work. And on top of the other things, you end up with guilt or disappointment for overeating. To get around it, I think we have to face our problems and find other ways of dealing with them, whether it's talking or writing or even just letting yourself feel what you're feeling and cry or be angry or whatever.
