madanjen's Journal, 20 June 2014

I had to do a triple take on the scale a few minutes ago. Yesterday I recorded in the journal that I lost no weight at all and was surprised. Today I'm even more surprised. I LOSE 2.6 POUNDS!!!

I don't think the scale can be wrong 3 times can it?

But maybe it's dehydration since I am totally hung over this morning. :(
I did great working out yesterday; rode the bike 7 miles really hard and into the wind for half of it and did a tough upper body weight workout. I also did great when it comes to keeping low calories and eating right, Had ham and eggs for lunch and tilapia with zucchini for dinner and a delicious pear for dessert; about 1000 calories.

This year as part of my goal, I don't drink alcohol unless it's a special occasion or some wine with dinner which I do love and have maybe once a week. I text a friend to see if she had flour because I really wanted breaded tilapia. She didn't respond but showed up at my door about one in the morning with a little bag of flower and a bottle of vodka. I had nothing on my work schedule today so I told her to come in and I figured a drink would knock me out since I was already asleep. To make a long story short, I had more than a few drinks, feel like S#@%& this morning and won't be doing that for a while.

So I should be really happy about losing that weight and almost getting into the 210's but I am not since I may just be dehydrated. WHAT DO YOU THINK? And should I be happy about this?

We take it however we can get it lol. The scale will probably be higher tomorrow when you're properly hydrated, but not by too much. You still lost that weight fair and square, not like you were leaning on a wall. Enjoy it. Could you send your friends my way please? No one ever brings me vodka.

If you are dehydrated the extra water that you need to drink today will be a positive for your goal. Hope your scale keeps moving down.

Thanks for that positive affirmation Draglist and RosaMariquita and of course Yolanda9179. I really do appreciate our group which does great in supporting each other in our journey to good health. Now I'm going to be so curious as to what tomorrow holds. I haven't been in the 210's since before my accident. And Yolanda, send me a private message and I will make sure you have contact with my friends. Just remember, BE CAREFULL WHAT YOU WISH FOR! LMAO! Seriously though, it is nice to have good friends and I know she meant well since I had some success in my business yesterday. AND....THIS IS A PSA, PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT! Let's upgrade our language and let's start with this. From now on, we do no refer to ASSES any longer. From now on, it's like this. I'm going to get my lazy glutes off the couch and hit the gym. Or...It was so funny, I LMGO (as in glutes). Yes...it's Friday and hangovers make me goofy but humor is one of our 7 wonders. Have an awesome day and stay positive and focused!

It's always good to be happy. Just do your best and the rest will fall into place.

I fluctuate 2 lbs day to day myself, even when I drink water to the point of being soaked and without any constipation. Dehydration, constipation, or a change in sleep pattern will make it even more drastic. For example, Saturday morning I sleep in by about 4 hours which usually puts me down a pound or two.

A loss is a loss, take ir! I feel like that sometimes then realize... even dehydrated I never would have seen such n such on the scale a year ago... so it's still a total win. Woot!
