Diana 1234's Journal, 04 August 2021

Holding steady. I upped my weights again in body pump. I can see a difference in my leg muscles for sure. On Tues, I do my own workout, I did " big boy" squats , Bar (45lbs) plus 20. 3 sets, 8 reps. My knee is a bit sore, gotta watch form..maybe knee was to far forward? Hope not! Also been using sled more. I loaded it with 115 lbs. Lunges holding 25 lb weight, leg press, and then ended with ab workout. Like the results I'm getting.
Went to nutritionist yesterday. Measurements all good Arms up 1/2", legs up 1/4". That's a good thing as I'm trying to build more muscle. We are trying a new thing for optimal workout results. I usually eat a protein and veggies for dinner. Now trying to incorporate a complex carb to help maximize workout for next day. I do follow CICO but this change is for 2 reasons. One for workout, the other is for relief of nausea I've been experiencing. Had rice last night, so far this morning nausea is slightly better.
Have a great day everyone!

I wonder if a knee wrap or brace might help?

C0bby, thank u! Bearnoggin, I'm wearing a knee wrap today. Been using heat roll on and taking ibuprofen. I have an old mcl injury so I'm sure I aggrevated it. ( I fell 12 feet off a cliff on n my mountain bike..)

Wow!! Good going Diana!! You are doing amazingly! Sounds like a good idea to have some evening carbs. I always lift better when I do and some more in my breakfast with my big protein servings after. I am so sorry your knee is bugging you. I'm glad some support is helping it. I have been going so light the last week and a half for my knee. I finally did some much lighter than usual goblet squats with 40 pounds yesterday. I want to keep going a little while protecting and preparing it for all those endless cobblestone streets in my very near future... I hope! 🤞

Melissa and mermee, I usually have my carbs in morning(oatmeal+protein shake) but we added carbs in evening to help me even more. I workout at 8 am usually so I need the fuel. The light headedness and terrible nausea is a heart related issue. I haven't mentioned it yet on this site..the carbs seem to be helping the nausea a bit. Bearnoggin, yes, I fell off bike cuz I forgot I wasn't 20 something while going up a hill..lol Btw, thank you for all your comments on my posts. You are very sweet.💜
