Good afternoon, my dears! Today was Magic Mile day! My FAVORITE day!!! For those of you who don't know, Magic Mile day is part of the Couch to 5K challenge via active.com. You basically push yourself to run a very quick mile, in hopes of being significantly faster than your average 5K MPH. I maintained a 10:34 (last week I was around 10:38 I believe), which I'm very happy with. I have a short stride so my little legs are really movin' to get me to that time! I added an extra half mile today and took some of your advice and added a sprint in there! So basically, ran my Magic Mile, walked 1/4 mile, then sprinted the remaining 1/4 back home! I loved it!! My heartrate was up there but I expected it to be. Usually I have zero drive if I walk inbetween spurts of running but for some reason today I was like Let's Do This (in my best lunk impression)!! Anywhoo, thanks for the idea those of you who recommended it, I definitely am going to add it as a permanent part of my routine!
