watch that diet coke...it has caffeine in it. i can't stay away from cabonaed beverages either. i try to stick with something with splenda like diet 7 up,(look on the lables-though the splenda sweetened is usually on the can) Hensen brand has good diet rootbeer and other diet flavors that don't have caffeine added. hope it helps.

I can't seem to stay away from the Diet Coke right now, but it's either that or chocolate, I NEED something sweet.

I hear ya - I feel for you, too, hon. May make a suggestion that helps me? If you are like me and you are sensitive to stalls brought on by Atkins bars, may I recommend that you take one of the protein bars and cut it up into bite-sized pieces. Eating only one bite daily gives me chocolate fix, yet the amount of sugar alcohols I get is minimal, and I now longer stall. And every once in a while, rare occassions, I will go ahead and have a full serving. The Diet Coke is killer, love - regardless of the dangers of it, it also can cause crazy cravings for sweets. Perhaps you can read about my post on the Aspartame thread in ASM...(it's recent). Please check it out. I'm thinkng of you and believing in you... :)

look into sugar free dark chocolate- also i just bought a Lindt supreme chocolate bar with 90% cocoa.it has 12g carbs 5g are dietary fiber and 3g sugar. 1 bar is two servings. Half of it will be my reward when i break that 150 marker that i always plateau on!! Cause a girl has gotta have goals!!

I did something to my neck this weekend, pulled something or pinched a nerve it's really [ainful to turn my head to the right and now I'm having headaches. The Diet Coke is my comfort food as it is something sweet I can have and I'm hopeful the extra caffeine will help. I would rather have chocolate but I will take what I can get. Dark chocolate is too bitter for me, I've never cared for it. I'm a sweet milk chocolate kind of girl. Is it sad that I'm salivating just thinking about it?

the issue with the caffiene is that your body will convert it into sugar, (or rather process it like sugar and you will not attain full ketosis. i plateaued once a number of years ago, and the only thing i was doing different was enjoying A cup of coffee in the morning- just a Denny's sized cup. i quit the coffee and the loss resumed. i just don't want you to get frustrated and give up. I have been there....BIG TIME. the chocolate thing is a biggie! i dream of cake right out of the oven mmmmmmmmmmmmm blueberry cupcakesmmmmmm..dang it!
