dm_lytle's Journal, 30 March 2009

I don't know an exact amount on weight loss for last week. I had heavier clothes on so I think I lost more than showed on the scale. I feel myself getting smaller and stronger. My dress pants I wore yesterday to church was not a battle to get them buttoned. I am increasing the weights I use. I started with 30 pounds for the crunch and back extension machines and I am up to 67.5 pounds. I am up to 50 pounds for my legs and 25 pounds for my arms. I could probably do more, but don't want to reinjure my shoulder or legs (hip and ankle). Meal planning is getting easier. It doesn't seem to be a task to check points before planning a meal or feel like I am starving myself when my serving is eaten. I actually had a hard time finishing my serving today at lunch. I had to give a spoonful of potatoes to Chelsea. I am changing the way I eat as well. I start with my meat, the least favorite on my plate, yet the most important for my blood sugar. Then I eat all my vegatables and leave the pasta/potatoes (starch) for last so I stop when I am full and not eating as much of the bad stuff. I can tell when I eat more junk food to, I just feel sluggish and horrible. I am enjoying my increased energy and strength. Well I have dishes and exercise to get done during naptime. A little thought for the day: How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called the children of God! And that is what we are! 1 John 3:1 NIV. God Bless

Great job! Isn't it wonderful when this becomes a "way of life" rather than "dieting"!
