Had my follow up appointment the dr who did my heart procedure today and he harped on me again (3 separate times in 20 minute appointment!) that I need to lose weight. He didn't even look at my chart to see that I've lost at least 25lbs since he saw me last. How depressing. I mean -- they write it on the FRONT of the chart. I've never seen a dr's office do that before and it makes you very self conscious to have your age, height and weight on the front of your chart! (Why can't it say something encouraging like "Nice person who always shows up early and pays her bills on time!" LOL) It doesn't feel good to be reduced to numbers. I didn't bother pointing it out to him. Let him continue to be an ass and maybe when I go back for the 3 month checkup or the 6 month one, he will suddenly notice.
Btw... there were more things that made him an ass besides just that he didn't notice I'd lost weight. I just don't feel like talking about it all... pointless.
On a positive note, I had to adjust my car seat yesterday because I was too far away from the steering wheel and I couldn't reach! That makes it more real to me than just wearing smaller pants. :)
