Happy Memorial Day Everyone, I hope you all had a fantastic weekend. My first report is that I went Wayyyyyyyy over my RDI yesterday. No excuses, but my burgers I cooked wore damn good, good enough to eat 2 of them. Thats ok because it rarely ever happens and I can deal with it and go forward. My only thing is I really want one for breakfast, but am trying to hold off until lunch to have one.

Anyway, things are good here, spending a lot of time outside working in the yard, and taking care of a neighbors dog. OMG I won't get started on that story because it will just piss me off even more and it is a very long story. The one thing I will say is that they DO NOT need to have any animals what so ever. I am fighting myself with' do I turn them in to animal control and have problems with the neighbors forever, or do I just bite my tongue and except it. Either way the poor dogs have to suffer. Okay, enough about that sorry, gotta go and make sure the dog has some food and water for the day. I hope you all have a great day.

There's always the following day. I am the type that if I blow it early in the day, I just continue on and enjoy myself eating. Then discover I didn't do that badly after all.

Again, an occasional indulgence will not set you back too far. Everyday is a new day.

True. Recently I've adopted an 80/20 rule. 80% is healthy eating and working out for me. Healthy eating and working out M-F. Saturday/Sunday is chill days and my 20%. I've have what I want but of course not go overboard. So far it's worked great for me. That way you won't be too deprived and go on a food benge.

Glad you enjoyed the burgers -- it's a holiday weekend, so yes, you should enjoy some traditional barbecue fare! xoxox

We had leftover burgers for brunch on Sunday. Then shared the 3 leftover ribs for dinner. No more leftovers which is a good thing.

*hugs* I am so sorry about the dogs, that is really rough. I am a big animal person and that is always a problem. Last time I had a neighbor who mistreated an animal it sort of solved itself, the dog got out and we found it up the road driving home, so I just put it in the car and took it to my parents. Cleaned it up, took it the vet (where it had to be treated for the wounds on it's neck from the collar and ring worm that had went untreated so long it caused an open sore on it's back) and quietly found a new home for the dog. The neighbors, luckily, decided a dog was too much trouble (didn't even bother to look for him) and got an outdoor cat after that. Which, was a much better fit for them. I don't know what to tell you, but I really hope things work out.

Hey Sherrie: I no longer have animals but I hate animal cruelty ... it's so wonderful of you to step in and help. I hate to admit this but my niece once stole a neighbourhood puppy because she observed the little guy being mistreated for three weeks ... she couldn't take it anymore and decided to take matters in her own hands. She still has the dog several years later ... there wasn't even a posting in the neighbourhood looking for the puppy ... I think the people were glad to get rid of it.
