Ughh - chinese food is causing problems again. I think the high sodium content must cause water retention or something. A good run in 85 degree Colorado weather today should help a lot!

It's the sodium...Lot of crisp vegetables and small amounts of protein, but the sodium and sauces kill the diet. Bummer, cause I really like Chinese food :( I've opted to learn to make a few of my faves when I've just got to have it :)

Yes, it does! Chines food is notorious for causing bloat from sodium. Most restaurant food will do it. Some people are more sensitive to sodium than others.

Just have to find better choices there if at all possible. Your typical chinese food menu does not give a lot of healthy choices.

I use coleslaw blend (grocery Produce) a few Asian spices and roll in eggroll wrappers (also grocery Produce section). Oven bake...they're pretty tasty served with a no-sugar added fruit preserve mixed with a touch red chile garlic paste. Stir frying fresh Asian veg with the same flavors and whole wheat spaghetti is a dead-ringer for LoMein.
