Deborahg382's Journal, 14 April 2014

I'm going back to basics. Going back to what worked well for me when I started losing weight. I wasn't counting calories, and I was not consuming calories on my fast days. I've experimented a lot and added foods/drinks that sadly sabotaged me. And now I've back tracked a little and am back to 219. So no more counting calories for me on feast day, and no more eating on fast day. Just liquids and water. Lets see if I can get myself losing again. I'm a little worried.. but it worked before I hope it works again.

Have faith, our bodies are incredible experiments. Finding exactly what will work for you is trial and error in most cases. But the great thing is that you are aware of what is not working and can tailor it back to your original plan. I wish you success with the adjustment. I’m on an unintentional fast today. I missed breakfast and no one is at work to relieve me for lunch. It’s just been water and tea today. But the day is still young.

Thanks for the words of encouragement ChicaLean. I'm so ready to start losing again.. I was out of the 220's and I saw that notty number yesterday. I want to keep sliding down. I need patience.. what I lack! We'll see.

Hang in there. You seem to know what works for your body so stick with what works for you! Hope you see the results you want. Have patience with yourself!

I do the same thing when I see certain numbers on the scale. I know that if I am in that zone (of losing progress and out of control) I need to stick close with my routine and get it together. I think it’s great that we don’t ignore those signs anymore. I hope you will be celebrating sooner than you think.

exactly what Chica and Rugrat stated... trial and error is how we learn.. and if you know what works best for you and you alone.. you know what to do! and i KNOW you do ... you have opened my eyes alot, with IF and working it... I KNOW YOU CAN DO THIS!! and if you have problems, thats what friends are for ... here we are!

Keep an eye on your protein intake. Don't forget that, to maintain your muscles (which burn calories just by existing) you can't go a lot of time without consuming proteins. If that happens, your body will turn to your skeletal muscles as a source of proteins and your muscle mass will decrease, which will lower your metabolism. Enzymes, which are important in your metabolism, are also made of proteins. :)
