Good Friday Morning!

Steady. I weighed and I'm steady. Or is is I ain't heavy I'm your brother. Oh that can't be right I'd be your sister. I might be slightly delirious!

For the first time in a long time I've awoken hungry this morning. I'm going to ignore it, drink my water and coffee and hold off until later. I am fairly certain it is probably because of my crazy schedule this week in haven't had enough sleep. I had hoped for a loss but I'm pleased I'm steady. The losses will come. I'm on the right track. A weekend home with DH is always more tempting but he is very good at being supportive, I simply need to make the healthy choices.

My training last night went fine. There were only 3 attendees present, then 2 individuals who were hosting the event. Turns out I only needed to fill 90 minutes, not 2 hours. So of course I ran out of time and wasn't able to play developmental jeopardy with them. I actually think they were dissappointed! They were very interactive, asked lots of questions and I felt very comfortable. Yay me. So curious to me to feel so relaxed and confident.

It's chilly this morning. We had more snow yesterday evening. Everything is frosty and white still. Rumor has it though we may have some sunshine today! I'm hopeful. I have a bit of driving to do today so that would indeed be lovely. One more late night tonight for my distributor meeting. Fortunately I'm just attending and not responsible for anything other than showing up!

DH is trading one vehicle for another this weekend. He is selling his Toyota truck and buying a vehicle from his uncle. His uncle takes very good care of his vehicles so I do hope this is a wise trade. It's even money so that's good. That will occupy our Sunday this weekend.

I had a rare treat yesterday. Did a couple of co visits with an occupational therapist in a neighboring county and he drove! Usually when I have co visits I drive because contractors can't drive state cars. Jim is also a state employee! I must tell,you it was very nice being the passenger and fun to have someone to talk to (other than myself!) during the drive. Plus,we rarely have a chance to chat with our schedules so it was lovely to catch up with him. He's retiring in a couple of months. I will miss him! It was perfect too because I was fighting a bit of a migraine so not completely up to snuff. It's the first one I've had in a while (the Greens I take have really reduced frequency!) so I actually was able to relax and let my head sort itself out! Perfection!

So this morning, coffee in hand (Salute Bren!) I'm looking forward to Spring actually arriving here in the Northwest. One more week of March, taxes still need to be done but I'm not letting that stress me out, for some odd reason I'm actually in a good space. Well I know why I am. I'm doing the work. I purposefully put a smile on my face every morning. I am intentionally being more in the moment, more mindful, pushing negativity away. DH is in a good space too and that is just splendid! Even though we still have the same challenges and concerns we are in step together and it feels wonderful, hopeful, actually damn good!

Another busy day awaits me. A Playgroup at the developmental preschool, a long drive to see two new families on my caseload, and an evening with women I've come to enjoy. But tomorrow I don't need to wake up to my alarm and I have 2 days with my husband. Lots of things to do? Well, yes, but I'm feeling less frantic these days and simply tackling one thing at a time. I still struggle with racing thoughts but I think that is a natural part of my brain!

So? Well I guess I'd best get to it! My elliptical machine is calling me. Take care of yourselves. Be kind to yourselves. It works, this being kind business, regardless of how imperfectly we do it.
216.4 lb Lost so far: 42.8 lb.    Still to go: 31.4 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Hi Carol, I missed your journal on Friday, as haven't been on much. I do hope you enjoyed the 2 days with DH. It's been a while since you were on the same schedule. And your journal was nice, you sounded happy and content. And glad the weight is holding steady.
