thanks Jenny and Shir - and no, Shir, we used good ole iron skillet and oil. probably much worse for us, but we rarely fry things. definitely a treat. the tapioca flour was really good too.

Looks and sounds amazing. I love fried chicken, popcorn chicken and Thai food. There was a fried basil chicken dish I used to love in Boston, very spicy, served with white rice. I don't even want to know how much fat and calories it had, but wow, so delicious.

thanks, and yeah, laughingChevre, love all those things as well. that fried basil chicken dish you mention sounds delicious. this recipe was surprisingly not heavy in my gut, though i have no clue on exact calories.
