I'm conquering several challenges all at once now. I am trying to rid my habit of drinking soda. I'm not willing to give it up completely, but hope to get it down to one soda a week.

I am trying to drink at least 64oz of water a day. I'm carrying around a 32oz bottle I fill up 2x during the day, and that seems to be working.

I'm trying to show 12,500 steps a day on my pedometer. I'm wearing it from the moment I wake up until I go to bed. I got in over 14000 steps the first day. Today I had to do a lot of jogging in place to get to my 12,500.

I'm trying to weigh myself only once a week. This is actually harder than I thought it would be. I'm excited to weigh in on Saturday however.

I got back in the pool for the first time in 15 years today, without a baby in my arms. I got the worst swim lesson ever, but want to try again with my husband helping next time. I'd really like to add swimming to my options for a workout.

I'm trying to work out 7 days a week. One of those days I hope to get in a 6 hour work out. I tried last Sunday and with the kids, and so many things I have to do, I only managed to get in 4 hours, and I really felt like I worked out ALL day long. I was able to work out still on Monday, but was sore for sure.

I've joined my cities local weight loss challenge and hope that if I don't win the grand prize I at least win one of the weekly prizes. Winners are those who loose the most weight in percentage.

With the workouts I'm doing I'm focusing on strengthening my legs, my core, and my arms. I'd love to be able to walk straight again (the words of Billy's friend the PT about how screwed up my gait will make my back later in life rings in my ears). I'd love for my triceps to catch up with my biceps. I'd love to see what I can get my stomach to look like with just hard work, and no surgery. I'm most worried about the stomach though. It seems the further I get the more obvious my umbilical hernia is.

All these add up I hope and get me to my ultimate goal of 140lbs. It would feel great to have disappeared to Nebraska for a while, and return to Colorado all mean and lean.
