Okay, this is hard. First, you barely went over your RDI, so congratulate yourself. Second, I will tell you what works for me at these types of events: zero tolerance. I go to a lot of Chamber of Commerce mixers and all they have is tempting snacks. In order to avoid temptation, I avoid it all. Not one bite for me is easier than one of these and two of those. I eat before I go, and I make sure I have a nice glass of ice water to sip on while I'm there, and I say "No, thank you," a lot. If someone is insistent, I tell them, 'I ate before I came.' If they really push, "I tell them, 'I'm trying to lose 100 pounds,'" and I ask them for their support (if it's someone I know well enough to trust for that). Finally, I realize that if I have even one bite of something, I'm going to have look it up on FS and enter it in and it will count against my RDI, and that is a huge deterrent. Who wants to go around a party carrying a notepad and a pencil to jot down every nibble? LOL. Good luck next time!
