I consider this a fairly successful week since my goal was to make it to the gym every single day with no excuses. I was on the treadmill for at least and hour. My eating was pretty good except for a couple of days I didn't make it to 1200 calories.. I am trying to have at least 1200 calories a day. The weird thing is, either I am going over that or under. The frustrating thing is the SCALE! it has not moved!!! but that's typical for me. I wish I could go to a fat farm for a month but I fear I would spend thousands of dollars and be the ONLY one who doesn't lose anything. Well I am going to forge forward and TRY not to pay attention to the scale and just go by how i feel next week the goal is to drink more water and to RUN on the treadmill instead of fast walking. hmmm maybe the weight loss will suprise me and show up next month? I would love to wake up one morning and literally see the scale change by about 20 pounds all at once lol. One can only dream!!

Have you ever heard of HIIT? It's high intensity interval training. It's very effective for dropping body fat. All you do is walk for one minute then turn your treadmill speed up so you run as fast as you can for 30 seconds. Once that 30 seconds is up, you go back to walking. You just repeat this for the entire duration of your treadmill work out. Not only does switching the speeds and watching the clock for your interval changes make the cardio session fly by, but HIIT is the most effective way to burn off body fat. You should certainly try to lift weights for a half hour after your cardio session too. Muscle is a great fat burner as it goes!!! Another thing, DON'T look at the scale. Take pictures of yourself or judge your progress by the way your clothes fit. Scales are the most dishonest participants in your weight loss program!! Good luck :)

Hi, Wow!! That is the best advice I could ever get!! you just made my day!! THANK YOU! I always assumed doing something like that would be bad for the heart? since it's shocking it? Is there such a thing as over doing it on the treadmill? I would love to be able to stay on for 90 minutes and then do 1/2 hour of weights. I know people say not to look at the scale BUT for a little woman 5'4 being 175 pounds is NOT a feminine feeling at all! lol

I agree with the intervals or HIIT, a great idea to boost your calorie burn. However, I wanted to tell you to stick with it. Consistency really is the key to success and you're doing this the right way! Even at my heaviest, which was more than one hundred pounds heavier than you are now, I would have weeks where I would do everything right and wouldn't see a loss. Then, poof I would have a fairly decent loss the following week. It's not a perfect process and you're gonna jack it up eventually with a 'bad' meal or skipping a workout, but just stick with it. You can do this!! Good luck!!
