How did you loose your weight?
07 Jan 21 by member: George Ge
Hi, George! Last year I created and followed my own diet. Instead of counting calories, like I've done before and failed, I counted nutrients. I researched and figured out the maximum amount of each nutrient (fat, cholesterol, sugar, sodium, etc.) a person should have in a day, and I used the FatSecret app to track my food intake and made sure I didn't go over on the nutrient targets I set. I also switched to whole wheat bread, pasta and tortillas, and had only brown rice. I also quit eating anything after 6 pm. The hardest thing I did was to stop using any artificial sweeteners. Diet soda used to be the only thing I would drink, but I gave them up cold turkey. I also started using the Google Fit app to track my activity. It is a very difficult diet I put myself on, because I was only getting on average around 1,000 calories per day, but in five months I lost 75 pounds! I've been in maintenance since the beginning of June and I'm doing very well. 🙂

Hi George! I follow FS faithfully. I eat whatever I want, but when I reach my calorie limit stop eating. I eat mostly on calories and taste. I stopped going out to eat as much and when I do I plan ahead. I also have learned to just say No Thank You! Saying No is the easy part LOL. My mom has got very mad at me a few times and my friends can always think Of a reason why I should eat. Don’t give in to family and friends. I learned to tell them I need to do this for me. I have been at the say long time but I did not put the weight on fast either. I decided that I wanted to do this right I never do it again. This is not a diet this is a healthy eating lifestyle and I feel like 1 million bucks!!

How do edit nutritional facts?
14 Jan 21 by member: George Ge
Hi, George! In the app go to the Reports page by selecting REPORTS at the bottom. Then select the target 🎯 at the top-right. From there you can set targets for each nutrient. If it'll help, I can share with you the targets I use.

I am sorry. I meat the nutritional facts you enter for a custom food entry. Not the nutritional goals on the My Goals page. I need to edit some food nutritional labels. By the way, I too am using the nutritional goals with calories. I have established all goals. My research has some shown significant deficiencies. Thanks for the help!
