Johanne's Journal, 17 December 2010

Does anyone know how I can edit a recipe? I accidentally put in enough corn starch for a double recipe. I can't even seem to make a notation to that fact.

go to your cookbook, and it should have the option to 'edit recipe'.

I can't find an edit recipe options anywhere. Could someone please see if they can add it to their Cookbook and make a rating comment? Maybe then it will let me at least make a comment. You can delete it right away.

It won't let me add it. So weird. :/

Jada, thanks for trying. If it won't let anyone add it, then the whole thing is a moot point. I, personally, know how much corn starch to add and no-one else is going to add up with too thick broth.

I might try making one of them now. ^.^ It'd be something very different for me to try. :D And a reason to use my crockpot lol

I think it really is delicious and it smells like heaven. I doubled the recipe (I have a 6 qt. crock pot) and used one whole turkey leg for the pot. Then I put it up in one cup containers for the freezer. It made exactly 16 cups, which is double the eight servings the recipe said, so the measurements were all correct except I forgot and wrote down 4 Tbsp. of corn starch instead of 2, because I was doubling. I had never had cannellini beans before and think they are really nice.

Johanne-since you "submitted" the recipe for approval, it is no longer editable, nor can we add it until it is accepted. I had done the same thing before, you can go to your recipe in your cookbook and open it so yuou can read it, then go to the bottom the page and hit contact. Let tech support know you made a mistake and they will take it out of submitted status. You can edit it and then resubmit it. By the way, have you had many recipes accepted lately? I find that none of mine have been accepted so I stopped submitting them, besides I don't like that I can't edit them after you do that.

I've only had one recipe accepted and that was almost immediately, but it wasn't the first one I submitted. Non of the others have been accepted and the only reason I put them in now is so I can get to them in my own food diary. I do think others would like this one, however. I like all of them, but this is my favorite so far. Oh well. Thanks for letting me know what to do Babs.

Wish I could help...My tool bar that reads...My FatSecret, Foods, Recipes, Challenges, Fitness, Diets, Community is all jacked up on my computer...at the office computer it is fine. lol...It looks like it has a missing tooth at the end and Community is under My FatSecret which has made it quite difficult to navigate buddy to buddy lol...I think I broke it! Anyway, thanks so very much for reaching out to "The Ninj" ;)

You're welcome. It sounds like she needs lots of encouragement right now, and I know how it feels to have your doctor give you really bad news. I hope we all can help.
