Day 10: Still not out of the woods yet. Could have used a little "comfort cream" yesterday afternoon but had to tell myself "NO".

DH is coming home tonight. Am thinking ginger-garlic chicken, mashed cauliflower, fresh broccoli and raw carrots with dip. I only have 4 days a week to get fresh veggies into him so have to make the most of it!

No weight loss on today's weigh in but as long as it is not going back up I can be patient - after all, how many years have I been doing this? Think my highest weight was around 2001 - sure wish I'd had FS back then!

No weight gain sometimes is as important as a loss! Great job on your progress so far, it is a big accomplishment. Veggies sound wonderful, I never can remember to get cauliflower at the store! I need to make a list.

Healthy Buffy! Keep eating healthy and unclog the drain. LOL! Patience for us both. I went up a couple pounds. Go figure... at least you stayed the same. :)

RainShine - I use frozen cauliflower for recipes so I keep an extra bag in the freezer. But there is nothing like raw or lightly steamed fresh cauliflower. BTW - I'm old and senile and need lots of lists!

Mom - I know what you are talking about but others might interpret that a different way - LOL. Sorry you went up, but am sure it is just a temporary abnormality.

Buffy... if you're old and senile, what's that make me considering I'm older then you? Ancient, prehistoric? Older then dirt??? Your picture shows a very youthful looking woman. Actually reminds me of my step-daughter with the blonde hair.

Mom - I fully understand - Usually I know what I've eaten that affects me, but sometimes I swell up for no apparent reason. The good thing is that it is temporary.

Big picture, Buffy, big picture!! At least you realized you wanted a different you back in 2001 and began to take steps in that direction. You've come a long way and have every right to be proud, no matter what mood the scale was in today.

I agree...big picture thinking helps in these situations & remembering where you were & how far you have come AND that YOU did it...ARE doing it...and WILL continue on! PS...sometimes I give my scale a little kick!
