Been out of it.. The news of my increasing cholesterol has sent me into a whirlwind of self destruction. I have failed miserable. I am having a real hard time getting even motivated to continue. The fact that I am not losing anymore didn't help matters. I am going to try to get back on track tomorrow. This is so hard.

You do know that there are a lot of things that can affect your cholesterol levels, right? And it has not really gone up that much. Your doctor said that he wasn't worried, so I really think that you should take his advice. I would think that the stress and worrying aobut the cholesterol level is worse for you than the actual level. Try to quit stressing over it, and do what your PA said to do....stivk with what you are doing for 6 more weeks, and then retest.

don't let a set back spin you out of control! This reminds me of the saying "I already ate a cookie, my as well eat a whole cake!" this is a typical pattern, when we don't see things going as smoothly as we like, be tend to say F... it and give up! DON'T GIVE UP. So you didn't get the results you wanted that doesn't mea you aren't getting other results! Take a good look at what you HAVE accomplished, (aside from the cholesterol) how do you feel, how do you look! I bet it is totally worth it and you know you are too!!! So get back on track, you can't take back yesterday, you can only push forward today. This is coming from the person who had Chineese food last night and was floored by the 4lb weight gain (from one meal!) I can't take that meal back, but I can move forward today and make concious decisions of how I will choose to eat today. It won't be lunch full of Chineese food left overs I know that :) so, chin up and you know you can get back on track one choice at a time :)

Rajah, first off hugs xo this is a journey, not a sprint. rehearse some history here and see how far you have come! dont be tough on yourself, keep doing what you know works and is right for your body, your bloodwork is not a measure of your sucess your obedience and closer relationship to God during hard times is. All my life when this journey has got tough I have got pouty and said "stuff it, Im NOT doing this any more!" and that is why I am where I am. This is push through time. Time that you do not get weary in doing what is right because in DUETIMEYOU WILL reap a harvest of you DO NOT QUIT. God knew we would face tough times and He said that we are to get our stregnh from Him. Trust and press in and redifine your measure of sucess. It is tough especially when we dont see the results but we do have the knowledge and the answers, Im praying for you this week.
