A thought. In March my waistline was 60", now it's down to 52". It's a long way from what it was when I was 18, when it was 32". Still, I can hope to get back to what it was when I was 35, and it was 44".

As a professor, you know that this is simple mathematics. Fewer calories taken in than expended equals weight loss. Fewer pounds equals fewer inches. So to extrapolate, fewer calories taken in means smaller waistline. You are well on your way to your goal, with a solid plan to make it. Keep up the awesome job!
