Hoser's Journal, 18 November 2010

I'm turning off the diet for a couple of weeks. Saturday morning I leave for New York, which means a whirlwind of eating in some of the world's best restaurants. From there I fly to London for several days, where I'll be eating all of my meals at restaurants. For the last couple of days, I've also had fabulous and off-the-records dinners.

I won't be recording what I eat or caring about calorie goals while I'm gone, though of course I'll be using my newly-developed smart eating skills. I'll probably collect a couple of pounds while I'm gone, but not more than that.

Good luck! I'm going to NYC in February and would love to hear any restaurant recommendations. Probably too late for this but we were in London this summer and loved St John Bread and Wine in Spitalfields and we had fun noshing our way through the Borough Market as well.
