Hi all, I am doing well. I will start going back to the gym in the next week or so. It is too much walking long distances like two miles and more out in the cold. I had my flu shot about a month ago, I know some people are against those, but last year in March I was bedridden for three days with the flu and I don't want to go through that again. The editing of my historical novel that is longer than the other is going quite well. I think people who want to go back in time reading about the 1600s and 1700s in New England and Canada will enjoy the book. The shorter book is much more religious, and as a friend once said everyone was on the fringes economically and it was tough just to get the basic necessities back then so people were more reliant on seeking a higher power than they have been in the past, say sixty years. I am enjoying rereading the first book so I think it will be accepted decently... As far as the dieting is concerned I will probably be OK just avoiding too much sugar.... :)

Hi Glenn, boy you sound really good! You must have found the magic solution to being clear and pain free. I truly wish I had something for my knees so I COULD walk! I really want to with the cooler weather, but they ache. What has the Dr. given you? Sounds like your writing (or editing) is going really well. I am so happy that one of these days your hard work will pay off. If you just get them out there, I feel that you will find success. About the dieting, I write down my calories on FS and it keeps track of everything for me. I have found if I don't keep tabs on the numbers within a week I begin to gain. This is my best solution on the long run. Have a great weekend Glenn and hope you find time to get to the gym.

Hi NN - I am taking an herbal ant-inflammatory drug mixture. It costs nearly $20 a month and is from Whole Health called anti-inflammatory support. They're on the Internet, it takes three or four months of being on the pills and maybe a bit sooner but I feel a lot better. One takes 3 pills a day. Anyway, the pain that was chronic is so much better. Thanks for the advice about eating it is so true to watch what one eats. I will try to get in the gym this week ahead...

Hi NN - along with the anti-inflammatory support herbs I mentioned I still am on pain meds but the pain is manageable. I would take some sort of Omega 3 - one can take three each day - that can be bought at any store like WalMart where I have found it to be inexpensive. The anti-inflammatory support has turmeric and numerous other herbs and it does take some time to work, but believe me it does help. A doctor on that is well-known stated that turmeric takes three or four months to work and with these other herbs in there it does take that long but it does help tremendously. It is worth every penny to me, nothing would help much. I still have pain but it is manageable now...

Thanks abba - I was on a medicine called Topamax for MANY years. Anyone who is on it who has difficulty sleeping properly I would recommend they get off of this drug. It has tranquilizing properties with it, yet it does have its hyperactive-inducing qualities too. I am sleeping better with more normal hours, no staying up nights all week on the nights I don't work. Right now I am keeping busy and the only reading I'm doing is that of my books, the first one I'm editing again I'm over 200 pages into the 600 page book and I'm glad I checked it over again - I've caught the occasional error here and there. I hope to get into the gym in the next few days again. Hope you and everyone else are well...
