flaxseed's Journal, 31 October 2008

Haven't journaled for quite a while. Have been down to see my granddaughter Lucy for a few days - she has ME, is in a wheelchair and needed cheering up. Disaster on the way home....Car totally died on me 350 miles into a 400 mile journey - middle of nowhere with just a field of sheep looking at me, 50 mph winds and an almost flat phone. After a 2 hour wait I was finally towed to our local garage by a very dishy mechanic. Had no car for 6 days while they located the problem and finally replaced the clutch. Insurance company would only pay for 3 days car hire so have been stuck at home 7 miles from nearest shop. Ran out of my new coffee drink so had to resort to one with caffeine in. No swimming, no fresh veg and definitely no chocolate. To add insult to injury OH told the rescue people not to be too long because I am getting on a bit!

On the bright side, I didn't gain anything while I was away and stayed pretty much on track. I did have a couple of low fat ice creams. Took a flask of butternut squash soup for the journey and stuff for cinnamon muffins for breakfast. Came home with loads of clothes from my daughter in a smaller size to tide me over on my way down the scales. I've never, ever worn trousers and there's 2 pairs and I'm more than happy with how I look in them. I'm lighter now than I have been for about 20 years and I'm so pleased about it. I keep thinking "why couldn't I have done this years ago" and I keep coming up with the answer that "its all in the mind". You just have to get your head right first. Happy Halloween to everyone

Happy Halloween flaxseed. With that kind of a chart, I would say you can journal whenever you feel good and ready to. :-) Keep up the good work and thanks for your support!
