I rode my bike for 2 hours yesterday. The next town over is 8.5 miles via the bike path. I've always wanted to do that and now I have. :) I can feel it in my knees today and, well, let's just say that my bicycle seat is not the most comfortable thing to sit on for 2 hours. You would think that is you exert that kind of energy for so long that the pounds should just come right off...I'm pretty sure I should have lost at least 5 pounds doing that but alas, I did not. :( That's the part of this journey that is so frustrating! You work hard and the results don't come quickly like you think that they should. That doesn't mean that I will give up though! I can't let that scale come back up.
I felt myself slipping into old eating patterns this week. :( That's how I became fat Brandi. :( I went home from work the other night, hungry. I ate a little something (cheese stick and reeses PB cup minis), went to the store and then came home to make supper. While making supper I was tasting everything...multiple times. Then ate supper too. More than I should have. After I got the baby to bed I made some cookies for my oldest, out in OR. She just broke up with her BF. While making the cookies I had....um....LOTS of dough. I love cookie dough, can take or leave the actual cookie. I crawled in bed around 11:30 that night. Hadn't exercised all day and had a very full tummy.
I recognized that was my old eating pattern and it needed to stop now or I'd put myself on another upward (in weight) or downward (in life)spiral.
