SturgeonQueen's Journal, 25 October 2010

Well, I started to work out tonight, the Biggest Loser was just a 10 minute challenge... and then my stomach started to turn knots at the end of the challenge... So, instead of doing another workout, I just stopped. Now I think I actually pulled a muscle in my neck doing that challenge because I'm in serious pain right now... not good. Not gonna play volleyball either, I like people in my department, but not really the people that end up playing the IM sports... Sometimes they make it waaay too serious and I definitely haven't even played Volleyball for fun in like... YEARS. I'd rather just workout instead of do that. Anyway I hope I can just sleep this off, took some Advil and put IcyHot on it, so I'll be able to work out tomorrow night, even though I don't have a scheduled workout, I think I'll try my Step Aerobics with my new balance board step.

Sturgeon, take it easy on the exercise until your neck is better. Trying to just "muscle" through it may do more harm than good. Hope that you feel tons better tomorrow! Get some good rest!

I agree, take it easy an injured neck is not cool. If you don't have a heating pad take a tube sock and put rice in it, seal it off with an elastic (that doesnt have metal on it) and put it in the microwave for a minute and a half or 2 minutes, It works just like a magicbag! hope your neck is feeling better tomorrow!

Thanks guys - you know pixi, I never tried that but I did use it on my neck and shoulder and it really works! Heating pads are kinda expensive, but that's a great solution! :D
