I have sequestered myself to my apartment for the entire weekend and am working on a HUGE deadline of crummy, neverending details on a project I have to submit by Tuesday. My old friend, Stress-eating and Roundface-fat-and-weight-gain has re-surfaced.

Lot of stress-eating. I've officially raided the last piece of anything snack in my kitchen cabinets, the last block of cheese in my fridge, and the last remotely-snack-like item in my freezer!!! Oh! and don't feel like going to the gym!!! Oh! and been carbing-up too!!

Ok, tomorrow morning, first thing--go running!!! No IFS, ANDS, or BUTS!!!! I dare not look at the scale, btw, as I can totally FEEL the 5 pounds gained right on my face and on my tummy!

Tomorrow night, going for dinner out with a friend. Will try to be sensible and productive in the day, so can enjoy a sensible, celebratory dinner at night. I want to get the bulk of stuff done by dinner-time!

Wish me luck, you guys!!!! I need all the good vibes I can rustle up!!

HEY GIRL!!! Okay, you rid yourself of the snacky food and got that out of your system! Put it behind you and don't think twice about it! Move on. While you're working on your project, have some tea handy to drink to combat any cravings. Take a break once in a while and go for a walk or do your run or some leisurely reading......anything but eat!!!! And don't get on the scale if you think you gained weight. It would only discourage you. SENDING GOOD VIBES YOUR WAY~~~~~~~~~~~~~GOOD LUCK!! :)

Aw, it's so easy in stressful times to turn to the comforts of food. But you can get through this... so don't dwell on what's done. Carbs are ok, so long as you keep them complex carbs and avoid anything processed... so veggies and fruits are ok for snacking (and good source of fibre which will help fill you up). I can relate to the suddenly feeling "fat" though, as felt like that myself this week after eating things like cake... but it honestly wasn't as bad as it felt when I did check out the scales. So don't panic... you just keep on going there. I second MB on trying to get some exercise in... it will give you a little bit of a break from your working and I'm sure you would feel refreshed and more focused afterwards. Sending lots of positive good vibes your way too... just keep it together and you will get all that work done. ;o)

Wishing luck your way! It's good that you don't have any more snacks in the house. Have a good dinner and take a few breaks to refresh yourself. If you go to the store, get some more fruits and veggies.

~~~~~~~~~~good vibes~~~~~~~~~ There. Some more good vibes for ya! I don't blame you for avoiding the scales when you know they will have nothing nice to say. But take comfort knowing that even if it did show a 5 lb gain that most of that gain is not actual fat. Let your analytical side of your brain rule and realize that you didn't eat 17,500 extra calories. And if you follow the binge with a couple of solid low days, you will be right back in line with where you should be. And look at the bright side... you've cleared out all of the offending foods in your home! Do yourself a favor and hold off on purchasing any of your "weakness" foods until you are in a more stable frame of weight and mind. You'll get it back on track. I have faith in you!
~~~sending good healthy kharma your way~~~~ You'll be okay. It sounded like the snacks were pretty healthy. You sound stressed out and anxious, my friend. My heart goes out to you. Once you finish the project you'll be back on track. NOOOo feelings of remorse or guilt!!! It'll just make you want to emotionally eat more! Take it from the pro-emotional eater! LOL.
