Today will go down in the books as one of the most unusual (but in a great way!) kinda days...I was involved with only 1 task for the large part of the day (and as early as last night)...and it's been great, but now I'm functioning on 3.5 hours of sleep! And still have loads of stuff to get ready for tomorrow, and then tomorrow will be a long day, per typical Tuesdays this semester.

I've been drinking a lot of water today. Weight seems to have dropped! But I don't want to record it yet, coz I didn't get any sleep last night, and that misrepresents the actual weight for the day...

Food points are probably pretty low...and here's the breakdown:
fiber one cereal with soy milk (2-3)
1 wasa cracker with laughin cow cheese (1.5)
almonds (2)
coffee with ff cream (1)
1 luna bar (3)
Meatless chicken stir fry (20 9 of protein, and 2 g of carbs! This was good!)..dressed it up in all kinds of vegggies includin lotus root (very nutty!), and spinach, carrots, garlic, thai chillis, scallions, mushrooms, bell peppers etc. and Almonds (3 pts only!)

So now I have used only 9 pts!! Well, I'll probably have to be up late, so maybe I'll have a snack or two of fruits etc. and that'll help increase the points' count.

No workout today. Ok, once again, I can't be responsible for today. In fact, I wasn't very responsible today. But tomorrow, I'll be back to a more regular routine, and want to get my running done in the morning. Which means I have to feel energized. Which means I have to sleep early tonight. Which means I better get my a$$ into gear and get crackin' on tomorrow's prep! And it's already 10.30pm. Yikes! This EARLY TO BED pheonomenon seems to forever elude me!!! I gotta take my mom to task one of these days for leaving a hole in my childhood training!!!!!!!!

Well, c ya manana!
And be ready---one of these days, thanks to ya'lls reminders, and Evelyn's wacky birthday post reminding me about exercises, BEWARE! I'm COMING!!! Save me a seat on that EXERCISE And HEALTH WAGON!! Coz, i've bought my ticket and am boarding tomorrow morning!!!!

CHOOOWOOOO! CHUGGA CHUGGA CHUGGA CHUGGA! CHOOOWOOOO! Here comes the exercise train. All aboard! LOL. Wagon, train, trolley, skateboard... it doesn't matter what you get on as long you get ON IT!!!! Great job keeping the points low. Don't burn the candle at both ends for long or else something is gonna get burnt! If you need a dose of "mom" vibes to get you off to bed on time, may I suggest you make a bedtime routine for yourself? It works for kids. It works for grown-ups, too! ZZZZZZZ. That's what I want to be hearing from you next! Have a good sleep and crack that exercise whip tomorrow. Go get 'em!

LOL! Ev!! Ya crack me up!!! Thanks for the sleep-tip! BTW, this might be self-evident to those with regular sleep patterns, but what are some ideas for routines??

Well, all the things you normally do to get ready for bed - wash your face, put your jammies on, brush your teeth, turn down your bed, etc. - start doing these things beginning about an hour or so BEFORE you want to actually go to bed. Having the routine cues your mind to think, "Hey. She's putting her pajamas on. It must be getting close to bed time." It all helps to wind you down and prepares you to sleep. So when bedtime actually does roll around, it won't take you another 1/2 hour to "get ready". You can just flop into bed and head off to lala-land!

Whoa! Only 3.5 hours of sleep! Do remember teaching any classes today? Do you know what you taught those poor college children? LOL . It's tough for us night people to get to bed early and that's all there is to it! It's peaceful at night and it's time to play with our FS friends! :) If you can't get up early in the morning, could you exercise first thing after work before you eat dinner or do anything else? Your stir fry sounds delicious! ((((HUGS))))

Yes, I agree w/ Evelyn. Just like you're forming eating and exercising habits, start forming sleeping habits. Routines, I think, are keys to success. Give yourself at least 21 days b/c that's how long it takes for a routine to become a habit. Good luck and great job on eating well.

I just heard in Mindless Eating CD that it's 28 days, not 21 days. No worries just another week. And think the days afterwords will get easier and easier.
