I wish I undestood the metabolism process better. I'm following the diet very well, but my weight goes down, then up, then down. I know I'll continue to lose weight. It just disheartening to see the numbers go up when expect them to go down. ;-)

No worries! Follow your plan as best as possible and it will start to come down. I would recommend a journal to keep track of what works and what isn't working so well. :)

If you are transitioning to ph 2, you will go up slightly and then back down again. Keep faith , it does work.

That is completely normal. Take a look at information's journal: he does an amazingly good job of tracking his weight on a daily basis and it fluctuates quite a bit. But, the trend for him is clearly downward and he's had a lot of success here. I think we all vary--I know my weight fluctuates about 3 pounds during the day. I usually report the middle/high number, but if I kept track of each fluctuation I'd have a chart that looked a lot like information's.

Hang in there - and stay focused on your goal! Don't get discouraged, it will show up on the scale in no time!
