Erica Figtree's Journal, 28 August 2008

Tough day. First off, I realized a regular-calorie yogurt has 250 calories!!! I always assumed it would be in the 100 range. That's like eating a dessert, or drinking a big soda. But I purposely stay away from the diet yogurts because I'm wary of artificial sweeteners. What to do, what to do? By the way: the low-carb vanilla yogurt is delish!

it may have more calories but it is also packed with protiens and good bacteria... definatly dont feel too bad about eating it... try a low fat yogurt..or ones that are single serving cups and are fortified with extra vitamins etc...Dannon has one called Light N' Fit and is really good and its only 60 calories and they say you can get it without artificial sweetners! cheers :-D

I've been making a habit of buying some good low fat organic yogurt. Mixing same blueberries or other fresh fruit in myself and adding some sweetener (sugar cane juice, agave, honey or stevia). Stevia is calorie free but slightly bitter.
