I got a pleasant surprise this morning and probably just what I needed to cap off my motivation level. I weighed in at 0.5 pound less than three days ago.

I know, it's not much but I've been trying to go back to basics here. I am working on self discipline. I need to get over denying myself food. How ridiculous is that? Certainly I won't starve. I won't even have a hunger pang and yet its almost psychologically painful to not get what I want.

I have a spoiled inner child. I am working to curb that.

Yesterday,I had to be extra aware of every single thing I put in my mouth. You might say, I was hyper-vigilant. There are days at work when there are poisonous foods everywhere. Cake, cookies, bars-- you name it. Yesterday was one of those days. My antidote to poison is a large glass of ice water with a few Mio drops. I got the sweet taste and the water fills me up.

I am heading to visit friends tomorrow and I'll be gone for 4 days. Luckily, she and her husband are low carbers as well. It'll be a good trip. I even get to take my 2 pups. Life is good.

When I return, I'll be installing bees. Spring has sprung when its time to do bee stuff. I love it. LOVELOVELOVE SPRING!

Hi, read your Apr 23rd entry also and can relate. I sometimes almost get anxiety attacks when I feel hungry - have had to slow my breathing and reteach my brain: 'this is hunger, not anything else'. Once I went to a seminar about Shaklee vitamins and they said if you are constantly craving sometimes it's your body needing certain minerals or vitamins but the brain just reads it as "need to eat something". Make sure you are getting full vitamins and minerals and antioxidants. Also try simple yoga - I have a dvd by Maya Fiennes called Detox and Destress that really helps. Sometimes we just need more oxygen!
