shirfleur 1's Journal, 18 October 2019

Okay, I read the article Princess recommended: https://rippedbody.com/diet-break and I have decided to take a break for 10 days, so that's through October 27th. I will weigh in on Monday because of the Challenges I'm participating in (that could be shocking; I will be weighing every day, just not recording), but that's it. Wish me luck! 🌈🌈🌈 Princess, I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you! 💛💜💚

Good luck! I read it too and I highly believe I already gave myself a diet break in September🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️. So none for me until perhaps March. lol You got this💪🏽💪🏽

Thanks Vcabral, did you find it beneficial?

Glad you have the self-discipline to be able to get back ON after 10 days. Going off for even 2-3 days for me ends up being 2-3 MONTHS.

Good luck! I hope it works for you. Cheering for both you and Princess

Debbie, I think one difference is our different WOE. I cut calories, but I don't give up any of the foods I love, so I always know I can have "that thing" today if I just plan for it. I don't think I could ever be successful doing what you do, though I know it works for many, many people. It's so good to see you getting back on track! 💚💛💜

Thanks Tatauu and Erquiaga, I'm a bit nervous, but also very curious. Erquiaga, I love your fleur-de-lis, my last name is La Fleur ( though I spell it LaFleur).

Hoping the best for you, dear! I do think a few days for me of being more relaxed in my eating has pretty much always had a positive impact going forward. I remember being so afraid after dieting with a restricted menu for a couple months, that if I "slipped" I would not be able to get back up. When I changed my eating plan to be more like yours... Eating all good things in moderation, it took that terror and the power of food away. Now I just "fit it in." sometimes I go overboard for sure, but I can wake up the next morning and begin again! You will do fine, and it will be an interesting exercise!

Good luck to you with the diet break. That's a very interesting article, thanks for posting the link!

Thanks Melissa, you are so right! Jmb, Princess is the one who posted it originally, I'm just passing it on.

Erq, I'm so silly, I guess you knew what my last name is from my user name on this site. The fleur-de-lis is also such a symbol of Louisiana, and especially New Orleans, so it is meaningful to me on many levels. Thank you! 💜💛💚

Good luck Shirfleur. I’m like Debbie in that it takes months for me to reclaim sanity. I understand that every diet plan, every doctor every successful dieter tells us not to deprive ourselves of those red light foods. The twelve step program is the only thing I’ve found to advise avoiding the white stuff (sugar & flour). Go with God. 🙏👍🙀

Yes I sure did! It was a great read with good info.

I fully intend to kick ass. I truly think my body said "screw you" feed me or I'm done. So I am. And it will be good. You can do it, too! Looking forward to your results! 😘

Shir- Don't you feel like you are still losing pretty steadily? Or do you think you have stalled? I'm just kinda stuck but you look to be dropping at a steady pace!

Princess, I am still dropping, but not as much as I was earlier. I'm curious to see is this will have an impact.
