Well the TOM is killer for me... I was absolutely awful yesterday. I ate whatever I wanted and didn't pay attention to calories, and I hate myself for it. A few days ago I had this epiphany that I feel gross in the morning when I eat after 8 PM the night before. Well, I completely ignored that last night, and stuffed my face until like 10:30. So this morning, as expected, I feel absolutely disgusting. Not only do I feel full and fat because of eating so late, but my stomach hurts because of the gross food I ate.

So the goal today (aside from getting a REALLY good workout!!) is to significantly cut back on calories. I also know that my family is going out to dinner tomorrow night with my cousin and her new fiancee, so that is all the more reason to cut calories now.

I am realizing that I REALLY have to work on my self-control. Because while my mom and dad are usually around to scold me for hitting the Nutella jar, come this fall, I will be at school by myself and my friends sure will not say that to me! Whenever I feel like snacking, I try to remind myself of the quote that one of my buddies told me: "Nothing tastes as good as slim feels." Unfortunately, though, when those cravings hit I tend to throw all reason to the wind and succumb to instant gratification. I lose sight of my goal almost every time, and it's getting old.

Also, I have 2 more days to get in my 6-mile run this week! AHHH

wow what a goal!! i didn't know you were planning on doing that! that's great news! hey, everyone needs a break day, don't hate yourself. just try to figure out what triggered it so you can get back on track. sometimes they actually say that a break day is good for the body cuz it kicks you out of starvation mode. have a good weekend! nutella is awesome! i bet you could make your own and it would be better and better for you. you can buy hazelnut butter, add cocoa and stevia so you at least are not getting any sugar. funny thing - i was thinking of figuring out how to do that soonish! i'll let you know if i figure it out! hazelnuts are my faaaaaaaavourite!

ooh! let me know how your nutella experiment goes... I LOVE THE STUFF! but yeah, I was a little upset because I didn't go the whole 6 miles today (my dad wanted to run with me so of course I let him, haha) but I eventually ran alone because he wasn't feeling too good. ended up doing 5.6 miles, which was more than we'd planned to do, and it was the fastest i'd ever gone... a 7:49 pace! i'm really happy about that, especially since i felt really crappy and could probably have gone faster had i felt better :)
