Day 392- Has anyone tried the pre-made 'green drinks'? I am thinking of putting them in the mix for a week or 2 and trying to go as clean as possible with lean 'natural raised' meats and tons of fresh veggies just to see how my body reacts.

I have been ramping up my exercise over the past few weeks and I am looking for something to give me a spark. I just don't see my body shaping up and my weight is staying about the same. I want my tummy gone!!!!! LOL I want one of those skinny runner bodies and then maybe I will be happy. I can see it now, it won't be long before I am running 25-30+ miles a week, all I need is some warm weather. I am running about 15 MPW now.

I run my first 5K of 2013 this Sat. It is one of the Cupid races that got delayed from the storm that hit here a few weeks ago. Hoping for a PR, but will be happy with anything in the 23mins, but hope to break into the 22's and place for my age group.

Also decided that I am going to do a half by late summer. Just need to decide what one?

I was in a bad mood most of today, but feel better now that I worked out. Things at home were very 'down' over the weekend and I left this week on a our note, it was one of those weekends were I could not do anything right, even with me spending a ton of time with her. Trying to decide if I should tell her or not? I did tell here few times that she was being very 'short' with me and she had nothing to say. I know work has her worked up and until things settle down, she will have a horrible schedule, but we have to just except it for now.

Sorry to ramble on so many subjects, just wanted to get some thoughts down and out.

Gosh, you sound do happy and positive, and have so much energy. That's wonderful. From what I know fresh juice is best....fresh. I've never frozen mine, but I guess anything is possible. Do you guys have Organic Avenue in NJ? There are a bunch in NY, website of the same name. They have pre made juices which must freeze well. A little pricey, but can't get cleaner. What about WF? I drink a green shake from Paradise Herbs called Orac Energy Protein & Greens. I get it from Vitacost. The have one without the protein too. Also, Green Vibrance is good for you, not so tasty though. They're organic greens and freeze dried grass juices. Restorative, concentrated superfood probiotic.

Sometimes a hug and a open ear are the best when women react that way. Sometimes I have things that are bothering me that I don't even realize until my hubby sits down alone with me and we just talk about whatever has been going on lately. But I am telling you a hug works wonders (even when I think I don't need one). Keep up the work and the progress will show!

I've tried 3 pre-made green juices, hubby and I liked Bolthouse Farms Green Goodness the best for overall flavor and price. It's less $ than Naked and Odwalla, and tastes more natural, less sweetened. I think after Atkins and now this dietary change, I can't handle the sweeter stuff anymore. Even regular Jif or Skippy PB is too sweet. As for the juice, you can get it in several sizes, and I was drinking it straight, without adding anything or using it for a smoothie. I would drink a 32 oz bottle over the course of 1-2 days, subbing that for a meal or two, and adding lots of salads and fruits. It's about 140 calories per 8oz serving, which is avg., but has great stuff in it. Good luck with the home front. It's not easy, but communication really is the key to working it all out. She's right, hugs are a great way to start.
