Last year I saw a very heavy man on the cardio machines every day that I went. He wore a black weighted vest and I could tell he was sweating his butt off and had been losing weight steadily.
I had a massage today. Hubby bought me a couples massage for Valentine’s Day and we just used the certificate. I get nervous when I hear a man will be working on me and prefer females. After all if the rub the glutes or see a boob, they have them too right? No biggie.
Well today while talking to the man something clicked. Sure enough, when we were done, I gave him a good look over and it was the same man from the gym! Except he’s double my size rather than 4x my size! When he mentioned being 415 a couple years ago I told him ‘good job’ on his weight loss. It felt awkward but I wanted him to know I noticed and supported him. He eats ‘healthier, smaller portions and gets on the elliptical 5x a week for 90 minutes. He gets his upper body workout by giving several massages a day.
He didn’t follow a fad diet. He just drastically changed his way of life. Just moves more, massages more and eats less food overall and cut out most junk. He’s lost probably 150# in that 12-18 months. (And he has treats, snacks, carbs etc).
