I hit a wall back in February and haven't lost a thing since. weight keeps fluctuating between 284-287. It seems that at a certain point you need to stop watching the scale and start looking at other things as a measure of progress: body fat %, clothes size, body measurements. My scale hasn't moved but I'm down 11% BF and 3 pants sizes. I just wish I started taking measurements when I first plateaued. Don't give up and enjoy the non scale victories!

Thanks for the info I had been on a plateau before my recent loss and nothing good was happening I actually started gaining while doing Atkins. So I started just eating less but all foods trying to stay under 1000 cal which for the last few months was very successful dropped 25 pounds. BUT now I do need some toning work! Good luck

Be careful with your calorie intake too. At first when I plateaued everyone told me to cut back more. I almost collapsed at work from lack of nutrition. Turns out I actually needed to INCREASE my calories because my body went into starvation mode. I lost 7 lbs that first week raising my calories. Now even though I'm not losing, I'm seeing great results in other areas and I'm eating around 3000 calories per day. I'm not saying you need to go that high, just be cognizant of your own personal calorie needs and don't just cut them. A deficit is needed but you still need way more calories than most diets seem to recommend over the longer term.

Thank I do know about taht pit fall. The trick I think is to eat a real meal one a day that was what was working for me I just got out of the rhyme this past weekend. definitely don't want to fall into starvation
