Even though I've went so long not going to the gym often and really abandoning my eating plan, it was nice to see that I never returned all the way to my previous start weight. Now that I've been below 200, I know I can get back. I also don't fully consider this a failure, because I also know a lot of the things that got in my way to cause me to fall off the wagon.

Next week I'm going to be doing the ration challenge, to eat as Syrian refugees do for a week. I can't imagine that won't have an impact on my weight, so go to my page to check out posts of my experience as I go, or better yet: to sponsor me so I can add vegetables to my diet! https://my.rationchallengeusa.org/cliffnhansen

There have been a few interesting medical things come up in my life which is part of the reason I'm back on here. But one thing has been the discovery of a chemical imbalance that might contribute to depression and obesity. I'll likely start medication for that soon, and it might give me a leg up to help with exercise by giving me more energy. Of course I've created a lot of bad habits over the years which need to be unlearned and replaced, but if there is something that can improve my energy and lower my depression, I can't think of anything more wonderful. It will help me do a better job of doing the natural things to improve the same things through exercise and diet, so I imagine I'll get even healthier yet. Really crossing my fingers!
