Just thought I'd let you know I got the job I interviewed for today. I'm both excited and a little scared as this is a new season in life. I've been at home for almost 9 years now so I'm sure it will take adjusting. The main thing is that it has full benefits for part time employees, so we can get rid of our self employment health insurance. I start a 2 week training on Monday already. This will make it very hard to work out for the next 2 weeks. I will have to do whatever I can. My hubby surprised me with a celebratory DQ ice cream cake, so I will be eating a piece of it now. I'm scared to look at how many points it is! Thanks for your support, ladies!

It'll definitely be an adjustment, but my experience is that it's for the best.. I loved being a stay at home mom, but when I went back to work, I regained a sense of accomplishment and pride outside of the family. As for working out, the job may be a workout in it's own because of the length of time it's been since you've done it! And DON'T look at the points of the cake-- just ENJOY it!!! Good luck and keep us posted!

Congrats! What an exciting time for you. I think you will come to love the getting out and being with people. That's what I liked about working. I was a stay at home mom, too. Don't worry about the workouts. You will be on your feet and busy all day so, even though it won't be cardio, you will be burning extra calories. Plus, being busy, it will probably be easier to stay in your points (with a little planning ahead). So I think it will all be a wonderful new chapter in your life. Enjoy the cake. You deserve a celebration!

WooHoo! Congrats on the new job! It's nice that you are able to work part time and still get benefits, that really helps a lot. I did a google search for deskercises, and I've been trying to do some of them everyday, you may want to try it!

Congratulations - that's great news!! Good luck with the training course - just fit in what you can, exercise-wise, but don't overdo it! Enjoy your ice cream cake - you earned it!! :)
