It took me 7 months to gain 10# in 2017. Thought it fitting to see how I’ve done over the last 7 months. I haven’t been dieting really since before the holidays. Trying to maintain but actually still losing (6# since I was really trying). 18.6# lost over 7 months. 14.61 was fat, 2.64 was muscle loss and the rest must’ve been water or perhaps brain cells 😝. These measurements are NOT done at the same time daily. Since it’s supposed to be on the 7th of each month I tend to forget so just do it close. I however don’t do it with wet hair because I’ve found that really throws the numbers off. Not only did I lose the pounds and 84% of it was fat, I also lowered my BMI (so outdated) 3.3, my visceral fat by one point and body’s age from 41 to 30. I’m 38! Sweet! Now if my mind and memory wasn’t that of an 80 year old I’d be good! Can’t wait to see how these numbers change as we start going to the gym. I also wonder if the muscle percentage went up because I’m more hydrated than usual or if it’s because we worked out and maybe the muscles are holding onto water. It’s for sure not a true muscle gain as I’ve been lazy this last month! Well longer but we’ll go with month hehe. I’m thinking my body has gotten this fat loss thing down. So much so that I can’t seem to stay in actual maintenance. Probably because I’m scared to gain again.

@slim, if you lived close to me I’d be willing to set up a spreadsheet for you, on the pc or handwritten, and after your written everything down I’d show you how to calculate it all. OR come do it for you weekly lol. I ❤️ math! When chemo to lol brain isn’t kicked in that is. On those days 2+2=5 for some reason and I forget everything I’ve ever learned lol.

@Draglist I used to try to weigh morning and night so I could compare how the day and different water levels effect me. I decided I was being too rigid so now I log food, weight, exercise etc daily and the body comp scale monthly. I figure up things weekly then by month and now by year as I’ve finished up my first year last month. I 💗 to figure out how my body works. My end goal is to figure things out so that I won’t need to plan to track but can use the scale and measurements to adjust instead thus freeing up time and less fretting :). It’s nice to know I’m not the only one who sees logging everything as a necessity!

@Chris, ty! Thanks to you I can see these numbers and realize that it’s not muscle growth for the SM% but rather the water you kept hounding me about lol. Being my hydrated brings up that SM number. Pretty sure I’ve always had more muscle and less fat than the scale showed at the beginning. I just couldn’t see it because I was too dehydrated! At the gym the other night you were in my head. When I wasn’t dripping sweat like I should’ve been your voice (or what I imagine your voice to sound like lol) told me to finish that bottle of water and drink the other after the workout. It also nagged me about not drinking enough beforehand lol.
