I feel so much better on a grain free diet. I don’t have all the symptoms and I don’t think I’m celiac, but I do get cramps, acne, gas, bloating, diarrhea, brain fog and tiredness after eating grains. This is why keto works for me: I feel and look healthier on it.

Good for you Moopie. We do what works for us. There are so many negative attitutes around of people who "have all the answers because who knows..." but we have to do what our bodies tell is right for us.

Right on Liv. We all do and encourage what we know and works for us. I am envious of those who can eat a cinnamon roll and not experience the symptoms I do.

When I purged my cupboards during the BloodType Diet I was on years ago I saw how different foods effect me. It was a completely different world. Many times we don't directly feel the symptoms but have a general malaise that we can't pin down. Our bodies produce a lot of gunk to fight off some foods and we never know it until we stop eating them. Wheat is really bad for me but I'm not Celiac either. Older forms of wheat like Eikorn, Kamut, and Spelt don't bother me at all.

Whole 30 was a good elimination diet to figure out that something was bothering me. But it was hard for me to not eat everything on day 31 lol.

Marx it takes time to figure it out.

Because it takes a lot of planning, I’m not dedicated enough to do it again. Keto eliminates whatever it is (except dairy), but I love cheeses and cream in my coffee.

The only difference is most fruits, root vegetables, dairy, booze, beans and grains. I don’t feel like I’m missing out. I do eat them on vacations, holidays, weekends...Monday’s whenever but I don’t like how I feel after. Fruits and root veggies pass the test. I’m ok with soy and peanuts. It’s the grains that have the biggest affect on me. I used to have to take days off work because it’s like getting food poisoning bad.
